Before this news, a brief warning. If you value your free time do not buy this forthcoming game. Now that the public safety announcement is completed, we can tell you all about PopCap games’ biggest time sink; Bejeweled 3.

If you haven’t played the game yet then you must be living in a world with no entertainment system or computer whatsoever, so how are you reading this article, crazy fools? Well, either that or you have been too busy playing Peggle. Anyway PopCap havs announced that they are bringing the latest installment in the franchise to all of the major consoles in Q4 this year. Ed Ballard, the studio head of PopCap commented; “Critics agree that Bejeweled 3 raised the standard for match-3 games to new heights, this holiday, we’re bringing that experience to PS3 , Xbox 360 and Nintendo DS gamers with adaptations that look great and play even better on each platform.”

What is interesting is that 5 separate titles have been announced, which given the list of formats above implies there will be both a retail and downloadable version of the title available. How different those will be, and also whether the retail game would be worth shelling out more for remains to be seen. Either way, you can kiss your social life goodbye later this year.

PopCap games have finally released their third title onto the Android platform, again through the Amazon App Store. This also makes it today's free game of the day over at the Amazon App Store so if you have access to it, and have been wanting this game, now is a good time to go get it.

Peggle is an interesting puzzle game where your goal is to clear out all the orange pegs from each level. Every time your ball hits a peg, regardless of color, it will bounce back in the opposite direction at the same angle. Also, when you hit a peg, it will disappear.

You will gain points regardless of the pegs you hit, each with their own point values but to pass a stage, all the orange ones have to be gone. If you like puzzle games, or are a Peggle fan already, then this is a must download. If you miss out on getting it today for free, it will cost you $2.99. This should end up being only a temporary exclusive to the Amazon App Store and should land on the Android Market in a months time.
