Holy Redeemer High School holds fourth annual commencement

Class Salutatorian Meagan Benner welcomed graduates and guests. Most Reverend Bishop Joseph C. Bambera, Bishop of Scranton, conferred diplomas to the graduates, who were presented by Holy Redeemer High School Principal Anita Sirak and Vice Principal Michael Booth. The farewell address was given by Valedictorian Rebecca Richards.

Remarks were also delivered by Kathleen Hanlon, Diocesan Secretary for Catholic Schools/Superintendent of Schools, and Bishop Bambera.

Members of the 2011 graduating class were the first freshman class at Holy Redeemer, following the consolidation of Catholic high schools in Luzerne County and are the first to graduate as “True Royals.” Class officers are Rebecca Richards, president; Thomas Hogan, vice president; Daniel Geraghty, secretary; and Stephen Ruch, treasurer.
