Extend foreplay for steamy sex

Most of the times, for guys, who get aroused faster than girls according to study, lovemaking is a physical process. Hence, they can arrive at a climax within minutes of starting out. But it is proved, that for women, it's more of a mental act. Love, intimacy, closeness, compatibility and a good physical understanding with her man, are some of the things that affect a woman's performance in bed. Poor foreplay can lead to dissatisfaction in women. They may not be able to reach the climax due to inadequate lubrication which is caused due to the lack of arousal or excitement. This is also one of the major reasons of a painful intercourse.

So what are the solutions? Sexologist Dr Avinash Choudhary says, "Touch matters a lot. Cuddling, hugging, feeling or touching each other fondly, helps. A passionate and long kiss is a good way to start the process. And if you want to add a sizzle to the romance, you can experiment with some dirty talk, teasing or role playing to arouse your partner."

Giving your partner an erotic massage while touching h/his body parts in a sensuous manner or narrating the wildest of fantasies to each other too can be triggering. Eating aphrodasiac foods together that are known to trigger sex, like chocolates, bananas, honey, avocados, figs or wine helps in setting the right mood. Indulging in oral sex of course is the ultimate act that never fails.

Sometimes to add more fun, you can start the process hours in advance by sending each other sex smses while at work. If there are other people such as children or elders at home, you can send suggestive signals using your eyes or post a note with inviting messages on your bathroom wall. Another way of getting intimate is to shower together. The wet feel of your partners skin can be stimulating.

But it's not only men but women too, who need to take the initiative and explore different ways to seduce their man. Despite the daily boggling routines, making extra efforts to look attractive and fresh is important as that will keep him attracted to you. Smelling good too is a big turn on. Shed all your exhibitions and experiment with attractive lingerie. Also, don't be shy to communicate what you want. Take the lead and guide him to explore your body. Don't expect him to understand all. Perhaps watching a few instructional videos could be useful.

Thing is, I don't get what's special about having a shower together. T and I do it every day! Being naked together doesn't immediately have to turn into sexytime. (At least, not in the real world.) There are wonderfully practical reasons to shower together, and it constantly baffles me that more people don't do it. We're so used to the routine that we shower together without a second thought when visiting other people's houses... Though the first time we showered together at my mom's apartment was a bit awkward, because she didn't notice until we got out of the shower. "Did... did you guys shower together?" she tentatively asked. "Yup," I chirped back, "We always do." She was taken clearly aback by how casual we were about it. (Oh mommy, you're so sheltered.) I mean, this was a big change from previous visits where we weren't allowed to sleep in the same room. Though that was my step-dad's doing.. Another barrier is that many people are weirdly shy about grooming habits. Maybe you don't want your partner to see you pick your nose in the shower, or meticulously clean your privates. Maybe you don't want your partner to know you play target practice with your urine and the tub drain (Admit it; you know you do.) Shame has never been my strong suit, so I don't particularly mind grooming in front of T. Of additional importance to us is the effective use of hot water. We both like to take long showers, and T's showers are longer than mine since he also shaves in the shower every day. Were we to shower separately, one of us would always get a cold (or - god forbid - short) shower. That's not fair at all, now, is it? This way we can both take extra-long showers and still not run out of precious hot water.
