JetBlue to Add Fourth Daily Boston-Chicago Round-Trip

JetBlue Airways is adding a fourth daily frequency to its Boston-Chicago route from September 7.

“We’ve found that our value proposition resonates heavily with Hub travelers; we’re delighted to keep growing here, while adding more relevant frequencies and destinations for our customers,” says Scott Laurence, vice president of network planning at JetBlue Airways .

From September 7, JetBlue’s schedule between Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) will see the day’s first flight departing BOS at 8:30 a.m. and landing at ORD at 10:17 a.m. local time. The second flight leaves BOS at 1:30 p.m. and arrives at ORD at 3:09 p.m. JetBlue Airways’ third flight is timed to push back from the gate at BOS at 4:36 p.m. and touch down at ORD at 6:24 p.m. The last flight of the day on the route (the new flight) is scheduled to begin taxiing at BOS at 8:30 p.m. in order to reach ORD at 10:01 p.m. local time.

In the other direction, JetBlue’s first flight of the day (the new flight, which begins on September is timed to push back from the gate at ORD at 7:10 a.m. and arrive at BOS at 10:20 a.m. local time. The second flight departs at 10:55 a.m. and gets to BOS at 2:07 p.m. The third flight is scheduled to leave ORD at 3:50 p.m. and touch down at BOS at 7:06 p.m. The day’s last flight on the route begins taxiing at ORD at 6:00 p.m. and lands at BOS at 9:15 p.m.

JetBlue operates its flights between Boston and Chicago with Embraer 190s.

Since launching service at BOS in 2004, JetBlue has added an average of five new destinations per year, and by December 2011 the airline plans to offer non-stop service to 43 destinations across the United States and throughout the Caribbean and Mexico. No single airline has ever served as many destinations in Logan International Airport in its entire history, according to JetBlue.

The airline says that over the last two years it has enjoyed exponential growth in Boston, seeing a 30 per cent increase in daily departures in the summer of 2010 compared with 2009. JetBlue has an additional 25 per cent growth in BOS departures planned for summer 2011.

JetBlue Airways launched four daily flights from Logan to Newark on May 4; seasonal daily non-stop service to Portland, Oregon on May 26; and is operating summer service to Oakland, California as well as the only non-stop service from Boston to Santiago in the Dominican Republic, three times weekly.

Coulomb's ChargePoint Network is open to all drivers of plug-in vehicles and all manufacturers of electric vehicle charging stations. 

ChargePoint stations are located in OAK's Premier Lot, located directly opposite the terminals. There is no additional fee for EV charging. Parking rates are priced competitively at $3 per 30 minutes for up to 5 hours, and $36 for 5 to 24 hours.
